Bird in Sepia

by Vilsonius on Aug.03, 2010, under Photography

Image taken with a Sony NEX 5 with 18-55 kit lens. The 18-55 is too soft for my taste and has distortion, but it gets the job done when zoom is needed.

The photos below were taken with a Sony NEX 5 using the 16mm kit lens. The photo of the city reflections at the sea was taken with ISO 12800, the rest of the photos at ISO 6400. A stunning high ISO performance from a compact camera.

My first image with the Holga WPC camera

by Vilsonius on Jul.05, 2010, under B&W, Photography

Holga WPC is a medium format panoramic pinhole camera (6×12 and 6×9). It costs around 50$ and like all Holga it adds a unique look to photos. It’s a f133 camera which means that it can be mainly operated on a tripod with a cable release. Below is my first image taken with the Holga WPC, Ilford FP4 film at 6 seconds exposure.
